In the back of my computer I have the place to plug my monitor in (female) but near it I have a male serial port. What is it for?
If I install New Ram in my computer would you need to Install any drivers?
My computer says there is no sound device and that I should go Control panel > Printer and other hardware > Add Hardware, But I really don't know what to do..

Serial ports are not comonly used now days... The used to be used for your mouse, or small printers, or tons of other peripherals... USB has pretty much completely removed the need for Serial and Parallel... Whats next? I use a USB audio adapter... Someday a computer will have just USB ports!

No, you don't need drivers for RAM. Just make sure you get the right kind for your motherboard, and make sure you don't get more than the max for your board, and pop it in! Thats all there is to it! I would suggest visiting www.Crucial.com and run the system scanner to see exactly what RAM you need, and how much you can put in your computer.

If you right click on "My Computer" then choose properties. Then click on the Hardware Tab, then click Device Manger. Here is a list of everything in your system. See if there is an exclamation point, or a question mark by anything in the "Sound and video game controllers" area. If their is... right click on the thing that has the problem, and click Uninstall. Then reboot your computer. It will say it found new hardware, and attempt to install drivers. If everything is OK, it should install correctly, and work. If there is a problem... you may need to get a driver for your sound card (device) or there could be a malfunction on the sound card somewhere. If that is the case, you may need a new sound card.
